Brand New Releases And Their Reviews

Imaging technologies are used in airport body scanners, hospital x-ray machines, and other technologies which can be useful to stop threats against our national security, and helping keep consumers safe while travelling by plane. These technologies are used to be able to scan passengers prior to boarding a flight, and have become ever more popular, and keep on being improved upon, since the terrorist attacks on the US on September 11.

There are currently over five hundred different imaging technology types, used in airports across the United States and worldwide. There are currently tests being conducted on the newest advanced imaging technolgoy (AIT) machines, which are used to enhance privacy for the passenger, by eliminating passenger specific images. These machines instead, are able to use auto-detecting “potential threatening” items, and can see the general area where they are on a person’s body, by using a scanned outline of that individual.

This newest software technology is capable of automatically detecting a potential threat item, and indicate the location on the outline of the individual being scanned, and the image appears on a monitor which is attached to the AIT unit. If a potential threat is found, additional screening will be performed on that individual prior to allowing them to board. If the system does not find a potential threat, the monitor will say “OK” and the guard will allow passengers on through to continue the checking in process. With this new technology, a separate officer won’t be needed to view the image in a separate viewing room; the attached monitor to the AIT device, allows for the viewing by the officer at the passenger check in line.

With all the security threats to our nation, airlines are making the best imaging technologies, to be able to spot potential threats, and be able to eliminate those threats prior to allowing individuals past check in gates.
